When I first started as an adult to be an interpreter for a very famous preacher out of Arizona my biggest concern was using the right Spanish that was usable and understandable by all dialects in Spanish. Example the preacher was saying I am so excited. What do I say ( yo estoy mu exitado). I noticed that the large group of Hispanics turned around to look at me with a very peculiar face. Understand I am male and the most beautiful female came after church to tell me you just told us that the pastor was sexually aroused. I said what she said the word that you need to use in Spanish was emocionado. Big learning experience I needed to learn International Spanish and I’m way issues like this.
